Nicotine base liquid percentages
When mixing with concentrated Nicotine solution, it will only make up a percentage of your overall mix. The percentage used will depend upon the final nicotine strength you want to achieve.
The easiest way to work out how much nicotine should be in your overall mix is to first determine:
- The nicotine strength you want your e-liquid to be. For example 18mg.
- The strength of the concentrated nicotine. For example 72mg.
- And finally the amount of e-liquid you are mixing. For example 10ml.
The way to work out how much of the nicotine to use is to take the nicotine strength you want your e-liquid to be and divide it by the strength of your concentrated nicotine and then times that by the amount of liquid you are making. The result will be the amount in millilitres to add to the overall mix.
Using the formula:
(Desired Strength / Concentrated Nicotine Strength) x Bottle size (in milliliters) = Amount needed (in milliliters).
So if you were using a 72mg nicotine concentrate and wanted 10ml of 18mg eliquid, the formula would look like this:
(18/72) x 10 = 2.5ml
If you were using a 48mg nicotine concentrate and wanted 100ml of 3mg eliquid, the formula would look like this:
(3/48) x 100 = 6.25ml
For different e liquid strengths or quantities just change the relevant parts of the formula.
