Smoking is still the biggest preventable cause of cancer worldwide. Unlike any other consumer product, tobacco kills up to two thirds of long-term users and harms many others. Every year around 7 million deaths around the world are linked to tobacco- more than AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria combined.

If you stop smoking for 28 days, you’re 5 times more likely to quit permanently, so this October, switch to vaping for Stoptober. It might help you to kick the habit for good!

The best scientific estimate by both Public Health England and the Royal College of Physicians puts the risks from vaping at 95% less than smoking. People smoke for the nicotine but die from the tar. Vapour produced by electronic cigarettes contains no tar and only a tiny fraction of the number of chemicals in tobacco smoke. Use our website FAQs to find out more about the many benefits of vaping.

So this October, why not make the switch to vaping? Pick up one of our e-cig starter kits and say goodbye to cigarettes forever. You’ll be glad you did.

In 2013, after losing one of my good friends to lung cancer, I decided that I needed to try cutting down my 30 a day habit. I visited a local vaping shop, received some good advice and emerged with a basic kit of a CE4, a variable voltage battery and a couple of bottles of tobacco flavoured e-liquid.

For a week afterwards I was dual fuelling; smoking as well as vaping. At the end of that first week, I realised was actually enjoying vaping more than smoking. It was also more convenient, cheaper and tasted much better.

From that moment onwards, every time I tried to light up a rollie it tasted bitter and foul- just like licking an ashtray. A couple of days later, I actually felt no qualms about waving goodbye to my tobacco and papers when I eventually threw them in the bin. I’ve never regretted it. I feel better and my pocket’s better off too. What’s not to like about that?

I started smoking when I was 15, the old peer pressure story in school. I developed a habit of around 20 a day; this lasted into my early 20’s until a family member fell ill due to smoking related causes. This gave me quite an aggressive wakeup call & I attended my local stop smoking service, sadly this attempt didn’t work for me & I continued smoking. In January 2016 I bought my first Kangertech Evod & Battery combo with a 12mg blueberry liquid, I haven’t looked back since & have been smoke free ever since, upgrading to my AL85 & baby beast, I now sit comfortably between 1.5mg & 3mg.

My road into vaping began on a family holiday in Florida. As with most smokers, my parents smoked; I was 13 when I started smoking. But on this holiday, in the USA, I didn’t want my family to know that I was smoking, even though at this point I was 18. A day had passed and this situation was defcon 1 in my mind, requiring immediate resolution. A brainstorm resulted in persuading a trip to a flee market just a few miles away in the secret hopes of finding a tobacco stall. To my surprise, I discovered an E-cig stall; the Ladies running the stall were very helpful & the ensuing conversation ended with the purchase of a small Evod setup and Black Cherry e-liquid. This felt glorious. I vaped on the sly for the remainder of the 2 weeks thinking I would settle for this and continue smoking back home. But after arriving back in day to day grind it appeared the vaping had won me over. Now instead tobacco I was buying bottles of e-liquid with no temptation for the former. Those 2 weeks of choiceless vaping cured me of the need for tobacco. Those two ladies saved me a hell of a lot of damage, and I am thankful to them.
