The Ares atomizer is a collaboration between Phil Busardo, Dimitris Agrafiotis, and Innokin. The goal was to create an affordable mouth to lung rebuildable tank atomizer (RTA) that was easy to build, easy to work with, easy to fill and provided an outstanding vape for the mouth to lung (MTL) crowd.
It features a top side filling system, a drop-in coil sky build deck, a liquid barrier to help prevent leaking and seepage, and a user adjustable airflow with numerous settings.
The airflow has been designed with the MTL style of vaping in mind giving the user the ability to adjust the airflow from a tight cigarette style draw to a slightly more open draw. The air will then travel to the diffuser which will distribute the air over the coil. The air will travel to the top of the bell to the reduced chimney designed to flavor and throat hit for those who crave it. The entire system and rounded bell is designed to make filling a little easier and to reduce air turbulence for a smooth, quiet, satisfying vape.

Latest Reviews for Innokin Ares Rebuildable Tankalayliercan
Back story: I had been using Aerotank Mega by Kangertech for more than 4 years and before that I used Protank 2 and Protank mini. As I never liked the taste that I get with pre-made coils, I started building my own coils. But I never managed to get consistency with the taste. I tried too many different brands of kanthal wire along with cotton called bacon. It was always better than the alternatives but like I said the cosistency wasn't there. The weird smell of wire, burnt taste coming from either cotton or insulation rubber and all that. During this time I always tried to upgrade to a RBA type of tank and I bought at least 6 different type of rebuildable tanks and it was always a bad experience. I'm a mouth-to-lung vaper and I don't like hot vape so not a big fan of sub-ohm coils. As you may know it's almost all about sub-ohm coils with rebuildable atomizers on the market. So, eventually I had enough and went on a journey to find the best rebuildable tank that works with at least 1 ohm coils. While doing the research I realised that I'm indeed a mouth-to-lung vaper and I focused my research on MTL (mouth-to-lung) RBAs hoping that I wouldn't get hot vape and could manage to catch some consistency with the taste. As a long timer vaper, I know of P. Busardo and his channel and during the hunt for a perfect MTL RBA I discovered this tank Innokin Ares Rebuildable Tank degisned by him and his Greek friend. I watched a few videos of him reviewing this tank and explaining the choices they made during design process and all made sense. And to my luck it was in Vapable's stocks. So, I bought it. I'm glad I did because it's turned out the a breath of fresh air. Pros: - The wire they include in the package looks like ordinary kanthal but it has no taste or smell whatsoever. Fortunately, it's 1 metre length so it'll last me a long time. Sadly, I don't know its brand so I won't be able to buy it from a shop when I'm out. - Top filling is very convenient. As it takes quite a long time for the coil to gunk up and require cleaning, it's only logical to top up the juice as you go without having to dismantle whole thing. - Wicking is very efficient and it doesn't feel like your coil actually sits on a platform a little above the bottom of the tank. I've only got dry hits with high VG juice once or twice in a period of 2 weeks since I bought this tank. Never have I got a burn taste. - Type of air holes on the tank are sufficient enough to make it really tight or loose draw for mouth to lung vapers. - It's pretty rock solid. I've already dropped it once by accident and it didn't get any damage at all. - I've been using this same coil they built and included in the package for two weeks and it looks like I won't have to build a new coil any time soon. Because as soon as you dry burn it without cotton and run it through some water, it becomes as new as the first day you put it in. - You have lots of space on build deck which makes it very easy to put in new a coil. Even when you use 26 gauge wire. Cons: - Japanese flat cotton included in the package has its own taste so if you're sensitive as I am, go buy yourself a pack of cotton bacon instead and maximise the taste of your e-juice. - Drip tips that it comes with don't fit completely. You get 1 mm gap but it's only visually displeasing because when attached it's not loose in any shape or form. - Chamber occupies most of the space in the tank so not too much juice capacity if you're a chain vaper. Luckily being able to re-fill it easily via top filling makes this a non-issue. - When you dismantle it for a clean up, it's not very easy to put it back together at one go. You've gotta position the tank and bottom bit perfectly first. - It's very resilient to leaking by design but I've managed to leak tiny bit of e-juice into air hole once. I guess it was becasue of a combination of few things. High PG juice, over wicked cotton, carrying vaporiser in a big pocket where it's unable to stand up right all the time. - Airhole adjustment is bit loose and it could turn on its own in your pocket. But it's really a non-issue. Just check if it's set on the airhole of your choice before vaping. Conclusion: I would give 4.5 out of 5 stars. The price-performance ratio is just right. Highly recommend it.
